Take-away: people hate airlines, utilities, banks, and facebook.

Wait, what? How did facebook, one of the darlings of the tech industry, the site people spend most time on get listed as one of the Most Hated Companies in America?

Interesting observations on my end:

- facebook is the only company on the list where customers DO NOT PAY to use its services… translation: people feel absolutely entitled to facebook’s service

- facebook is listed among a bunch of companies that provide services we in modern society cannot live without… translation: people can’t live without facebook; it has become a necessity

- facebook is the only company on the list that is not in a HIGHLY REGULATED industry… translation: are we too lax on facebook and its ever changing privacy policies?

- all of these are services where customers have LITTLE TO NO CHOICE on which service they procure, or else they’re left to choose from the lesser of the evils… translation: facebook behaves like and is preceived as a monopoly

Scary, I know. Time for Google+ to step up.
